Our First Director of Development!

We are delighted to announce that Megan Achorn has joined the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine as our first Director of Development.

The HHRC was built through the extraordinary vision and dedication of our founders. As we stand on their shoulders, we remain deeply committed to carrying their mission forward while responding to the needs of this moment. Our educational programs, cultural offerings, art exhibits, partnerships, and statewide reach continue to expand—as does our work to meet these important opportunities. Welcoming a Director of Development is a natural and important next step in achieving our annual goals, strengthening the mission, and sustaining our impact for future generations.

Megan brings over seven years of experience in development, fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and nonprofit capacity building. Known for her collaborative and hands-on approach, she will help the HHRC deepen relationships, augment the resources supporting our work, and create a lasting foundation for continued growth.

Please join us in welcoming Megan to the HHRC. You will also have an opportunity to meet her at our Annual Celebration on October 1st at the Portland Museum of Art.
